• Emaar Properties' H1 revenue surges 46pc to $3.12bn

    Leading property developer Emaar has registered a revenue of Dh11.47 billion ($3.12 billion) for the first half, up 46 per cent over Dh7.86 billion ($2.14 billion) last year led by strong construction progress and growth in its malls business.

    Oman-based Majan Development Company has started work on Phase Three of its mixed-use project, Al Muzn, comprising a 127-unit high-rise apartment complex and 13 commercial showrooms, in the Mawaleh area of the sultanate.

  • Bahrain's Cityview construction completed


    Bahrain-based Cityview Real Estate Development Company has completed its 88-unit residential tower in the Seef District of the kingdom. The project, which had been put on hold in 2011, was completed with the help of a key shareholder Ithmaar Bank.

  • Nakheel posts $683m net profit in H1


    Nakheel, a leading global developer, said it has registered a net profit of Dh2.51 billion ($683 million) for the first six months of the year compared to Dh2.61 billion ($710 million) for the same period in 2017.

  • Shaker cuts inventory by 20pc to $159m in Q2


    Shaker Group, a leader in the air-conditioners market in Saudi Arabia, said its inventory dropped to SR598 million ($159 million) in the second quarter (Q2) of the year, a 19.6 per cent year-on-year drop due to its efficiency programme.

  • Bahrain's key housing project set for 2018 completion


    Bahraini authorities said over 60 per cent of the construction work had been completed at the 310,000-sq-m Al Buhair government housing project and the 227-unit residential development was on track for launch by the end of this year, said a report.
