Germany’s Hochtief will build an 8-km-long shopping centre in Qatar for more than 1.3 billion ($1.71 billion), the biggest single order ever for its construction division. The Barwa Commercial Avenue project is set to be completed by mid-2012 for a group of investors that includes the Qatari government with a 45 per cent stake.
