MK has completed most of its work on the Dhahran Tower.

MANEH M Al Kahtani & Partner Company (MK) brought light – literally – to the Dhahran Tower using its expertise in electrical works.

The company supplied and installed all materials related to lighting and power, including cables, panel boards, fire alarm, CCTV (closed circuit television), MATV (master antenna television), and telephone, grounding and lighting, battery, evacuation system and bus way systems to the landmark tower.

Al Khobar Lakes is another major project being undertaken by the company.

MK, which secured the contract for these works in 2008, has now completed most of these installations and is in the process of handing them over to the client.

“It was a challenge to coordinate with the other works going on the project so that there was no delay to the progress of the project,” says Mohammed Klank, deputy general manager of MK. “However, the project was executed and handed over successfully without any work-related accident.”

A leading electrical subcontractor, MK has been involved in a wide range of projects across the kingdom.

Based in Al Khobar, MK is an electrical subcontractor, which supplies and installs all kinds of electrical works (low and high current). Established in 1975, the firm has witnessed continuous growth in the field of electrical and mechanical works in the kingdom. It has been involved in various residential, commercial and industrial projects in the country. Some of the major Saudi projects to which it has contributed its services include the Mouwasat Hospital, Saudi British Bank (SAAB), Switz Factory and Magrabi Hospital, all in Dammam, Al Khobar Lakes and Holiday Inn in Al Khobar, Shiraa Mall, GCC Federation building and a 350-villa project in Yanbu.

The Saudi market, according to Klank, is a promising market but MK has been able to ensure a steady growth in its business levels and will continue to explore further prospects. “We will maintain our good reputation in the market and ensure client satisfaction both in technical and commercial aspects.”

He says the company has qualified teams that regularly attend seminars and workshops to improve the skills necessary for executing jobs properly. MK has also enhanced the quality of its tools.

The company is an approved vendor to Saudi Aramco and Saudi Electricity Company, Eastern Province.

MK trades in a wide variety of products including PVC (polyvinyl chloride)-coated conduits and fittings, panel boards and switches, instrumentation, cables and wiring devices, light fixtures, cable trays, steel boxes and covers and telephone cables and accessories from some of the leading local and international manufacturers.

The company is now exploring plans to dealing directly with the manufacturers.
