THE launch of Alshaya Home Store showroom in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, marks Hansgrohe’s latest milestone in its steady expansion in the Middle East.

Saudi customers will now have full access to Hansgrohe’s showers, mixers and shower systems through its local partner, Alshaya Trading Company.

“This launch reiterates our commitment to the Middle East region and dedication to strengthening our position in the Saudi Arabian markets. It also reflects our drive for performance as well as our commitment to finding the right local partners,” said Hansgrohe CEO Siegfried Gänsslen at the launch of the new store.

He continued: “With the Alshaya Group we have found an ideal partner.”

The new Alshaya Home Store, centrally located at the elegant Tahlia shopping street in Jeddah, displays Hansgrohe products and other selected high-end home furnishing brands, all under one roof in an exclusive 3,500-sq-m showroom.

Julian Henco, sales director for emerging markets and Asia, commented that the co-operation with Alshaya Group is a logical step forward towards expansion in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.

“We have gained new business in the region even during the financial crisis – for example Masdar City and the new Yas Marina Circuit, Formula One track in Abu Dhabi,” Henco said.

“Alshaya is a top player in Saudi Arabia and provides us with a strong platform for growth,” he added.

Hansgrohe has a solid track record in Saudi Arabia and in the Middle East. One of the recent flagship projects in Saudi Arabia is the 601-m-high Makkah Clock Royal Tower hotel. In the Mena region, projects like the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi and the Marina Towers in Beirut, Lebanon, have helped to establish its excellent reputation.
