Visitors at Wilo’s Wetex stand ... success.

GERMAN pioneering pump specialist Wilo made its presence felt in the pump sector across the region showcasing its high-quality, innovatively designed products at Wetex Dubai 2014 held last month (April 14 to 16) at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Dubai, UAE.

“Wilo covered all the fields of applications by displaying different types of pumps for heating, air-conditioning and cooling, water supply, drainage and sewage and industrial processes,” says a spokesman for Wilo Middle East.

“Wetex was a unique occasion to share with the community Wilo’s success story in protecting the environment by saving power and water,” he says. “The fair’s success can be gauged from the visitor numbers, which crossed 1,500 visitors from around 25 countries all over the world.”

Wilo Middle East believes in being proactive, in maintaining regular contact with customers in order to keep abreast with the practical requirements of the market and tackle new challenges. “After all, it is our customer’s needs and desires that form the basis for our actions and performance,” says the spokesman.

Wilo recently introduced a new corporate identity – a newly-designed logo and a new motto “Pioneering for you” – and also unveiled a number of products including the Wilo-Stratos Giga, which is claimed to be the first high-efficiency glanded pump for heating and cooling systems; and the comfort manager Wilo-Geniax, which is described as the first decentralised pump system.

Since 1872, Wilo has been turning creative ideas into intelligent solutions that regularly set new standards in the industry. The company has been present in the Middle East for more than 20 years through its local distributors.

“With the growing application of new building technologies and the introduction of high-efficiency pumps, the customers’ needs for technical support and service become more urgent. This prompted Wilo to have a direct presence in the region by opening the first Middle East office at Techno Park, Dubai in 2006,” says the spokesman.

In 2008, the company moved to Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, where it became the Wilo group’s headquarters for the whole Gulf region as well as Egypt, Yemen and Iran.

The company, which specialises in heating, cooling and air-conditioning technology as well as in water supply and sewage disposal in the domestic and municipal contexts and in agriculture, aims to strengthen its operations in the industrial sector in 2014.
