Al Jalila Children’s Hospital ... super-specialty.

SENSAIRE Services, a leading engineering services contractor in the UAE, has marked a key milestone in its 30-year history with the award of the Ohsas 18001 occupational health and safety management certificate accredited by Vincotte International.

The company, which says it has a proven track record in the construction industry on a wide spectrum of projects in the UAE, is currently providing essential mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services to several high-profile developments all across the country ranging from residential towers to commercial centres, and from schools to hospitals and from malls to edutainment centres.

Sensaire Services is now close to completing works on the highly prestigious Al Jalila Children Speciality Hospital in Dubai as well as the Saraya Towers (The Views), and Al Hilal Bank tower, both in Abu Dhabi. Its other current projects include the military secondary school in Sharjah, and Dubai Civil Defence headquarters extension and Mazaya Centre in Dubai.

This 200-bed children’s super-specialty hospital will have 40 intensive-care units, six dialysis facilities, 20 healing centres, 12 training rooms, eight operating theatres, 30 clinical and non-clinical departments, 40 outpatient clinics, and a 40-bed emergency department, more than 3,750 pieces of biomedical equipment and fixtures, and a multi-purpose activities room for children.”

“The hospital has over 60 services, which include facilities such as nurse call systems, CCTV and a medical gas network.  The client has engaged some highly specialised consultants on this project, which is now in the completion stage,” he adds.

Saraya Towers, meanwhile, comprises two luxury residential towers which are 41 and 46 storeys respectively that enjoy views of the Abu Dhabi Corniche and the Saraya Lagoon. The project is being developed by Aabar Properties.

The building comprises more than 34,000 sq m of office space and a 700-sq-m retail area.

Faiyazuddin points out that Sensaire has been undergoing a major restructuring over the past year and has successfully brought the business back on track with the award of these new projects and, in the build-up to the Expo 2020, will “attain quite a substantial portion of the market share within the next two to three years”.
