LOOTAH Real Estate Development, a high-end real estate developer, broke ground on the second phase of the Dh350-million ($95 million) Shamal Community development located at Jumeirah Village Circle in Dubai.
The company move comes following the completion and handing over of the first phase of the Shamal Community, which is spread over an area of more than 147,000 sq ft.
The second phase, called Shamal Residences, is an ideally located cluster of 1,024 residential units that include 792 studios and 232 lofts. The size of each studio apartment ranges from 6 50 to 769 sq ft, while the size of each loft is 1,100 sq ft, said.
It boasts a calmer, quieter and safer living environment with the fourth floor having duplex-type lofts, with the lower floor for living and dining and kitchen and the upper floor for bedroom.
The second phase of Shamal Community is scheduled to be completed by June 2016.
Master-planned by Nakheel, Jumeirah Village Circle is a family-friendly development.
