Union Properties, a leading player in the region, has started work on the third phase of its 1.48 million-sq-ft master-development, Green Community, in Dubai.

This will see the addition of 227 units, of which 210 are townhouses, and a dedicated retail space, reported the Gulf News.

A total of 1,555 units have so far been built in the first two phases of the Dh680 million ($185 million) project, said the report, citing the company chairman.

“We aim to complete the third phase of the project by February 2017,” said Khalid Bin Kalban.

The enabling works are scheduled to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2015, he added.
