Global developer Emaar Properties has awarded the construction contract for its prestigious Dubai Creek Residences project at Dubai Creek Harbour to Al Basti & Muktha (ABM), a Dubai-based construction firm with projects like Old Town District of Downtown Dubai, a report said.

Dubai Creek Residences comprises a complex of six residential towers that form part of The Island District, a 6-sq-km modern development in Dubai Creek Harbour, said the Gulf News.

According to Emaar, The Island District will have more than 1,000 guestrooms offering world-class hospitality and more than 600 luxury retail shops and cultural amenities.

The six 30- to 40-storey residential towers with one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments in Dubai Creek Residences have been launched to strong investor response, the report cited Emaar as saying.

Ahmad Al Matrooshi, managing director of Emaar Properties, said: “Dubai Creek Residences forms the first residential complex in Dubai Creek Harbour and brings an unmatched value proposition for investors and end-use homeowners.

“Defined by their spectacular location, the six towers assure an active, marina-centred lifestyle choice for residents, right in the heart of the city.”

He said with the construction contract awarded to ABM, Emaar hopes to deliver the homes as per schedule in 2018.
