The 10th anniversary edition of Cityscape Abu Dhabi finished on a high note in the UAE capital with numerous property development launches, hundreds of units sold and more than 15,000 visitors attending the event.

A major property showcase event in the UAE, Cityscape Abu Dhabi was organised by Informa Exhibition from April 12 to 14 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and property market experts, interior designers, architects, financial and real estate consultants as well as buyers.

“Despite slowing economic growth in the wake of low oil prices throughout 2015, Cityscape Abu Dhabi’s visitor numbers were up compared to the previous year,” stated Carlo Schembri, the exhibition manager. “This year, we hosted more than 300 delegates at our conference and we welcomed 15,023 visitors at the exhibition. There was a record turnout at the Cityscape Abu Dhabi Conference, he added.

Developers such as Eagle Hills, Mubadala Real Estate and Infrastructure, and Golden Season Property Management all showcased their latest projects to investors directly on the exhibition floor and reported a large number of purchases, underlining a consumer confidence in real estate investment both within the UAE and abroad.

Schembri said the sentiment was extremely positive and it manifested through an impressive number of launches and purchases made. “Bloom Holding was just one example of the numerous success stories, selling 70 per cent of their new project Faya halfway through the show and reporting that sales continued to increase to 90 per cent in the two weeks following the exhibition,” he stated.

Aldar Properties took centrestage with its launch of Yas Acres, a new residential and leisure development on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island with 1,300 villas.

Middle East investors were joined by those from Georgia, Turkey, the UK and more, who filled the halls of the capital’s premier real estate event eager.
