With the launch of the TH627, Wacker Neuson has boosted the number of telehandlers in its portfolio to 10 models, all of which come with the latest engines and offer greater mobility.

Wacker Neuson has expanded its range of telehandlers with the launch of the TH627 – a successor to the proven TH625 – in addition to models in the 7-m to 9-m class.

What they all have in common is a new engine in keeping with the latest technological developments.

With these new machines, which were unveiled at bauma – a leading trade fair for construction, building material and mining machines and construction vehicles and equipment held in Munich, Germany, in April this year – the company now offers a total of 10 finely tiered telehandler models.

Wacker Neuson is now installing an engine of exhaust emission Stage 4 in the telehandlers with a stacking height between 7 and 9 m. This also meets particularly strict emissions regulations, such as those for the urban sector. The TH627 is equipped with an engine that meets the requirements of exhaust emission stage 3B with a diesel oxidation catalytic (DOC) converter.

“With the TH627, Wacker Neuson moves into the popular 2 by 2 m class, which owes its name to the compact dimensions with a height of 1.98 m and a width of 1.96 m,” says a company spokesman.

With its high level of manoeuvrability, the compact telehandler is a valuable helper on tight construction sites, he adds.

“It is a versatile helper with a stacking height of nearly 6 m and a payload of up to 2,700 kg. The new hydraulic system with a 90-litres-per-minute discharge volume, an electro-hydraulic pilot control and a load-independent flow distribution (LUDV) makes it possible to control the machine accurately. The automatic bucket return, an adjustable oil volume for all hydraulic auxiliary control circuits as well as energy-efficient LED (light-emitting diode) work lights are optionally offered,” the spokesman explains.

For greater mobility, three types of steering – front axle steering, all-wheel steering and crab steering – are available for all new telehandlers. Using the front axle steering, the telehandler can move safely in traffic while the all-wheel steering allows for an extremely small turning circle. The crab steering, on the other hand, helps during parallel displacing of the machine, such as when manoeuvring near a wall.

The standard, completely infinitely variable drive system of the telehandler provides for high propulsive power and comfortable working. Greater efficiency in application and comfort for the operator is achieved through the end position damping in all cylinders, and the material losses are minimised and the comfort level is increased for the operator due to the very sensitive steering. The automatic bucket return that is optionally available for all models allows for even faster work cycles. The panoramic cabin provides for the best-possible view of the attachment and more safety on the construction site.

And to guarantee the best possible protection of the operator and machine with maximum efficiency, all Wacker Neuson telehandlers are fitted with the innovative driver assistance system VLS.

“The system prevents the machine from tipping over in the longitudinal direction due to overload, without affecting the operating speed. Contrary to other systems that interrupt the working cycle by switching off the hydraulic functions, VLS allows for safe and smooth sequences of operations even under high payloads through a partial automation of the telescopic movement,” says the spokesman.

All models come with the Wacker Neuson ECO seal for more profitability and efficiency for this intelligent assistance system.
