The RB Glass system ... unobstructed view.

Reynaers Aluminium of Belgium has developed the RB Glass balustrade for high-rise buildings, allowing occupants unobstructed views to the outside without compromising on safety or design.

In response to current architectural trends worldwide, Reynaers Aluminium has developed its new balustrade RB Glass for high-rise buildings that are opting for full glass solutions and no balconies.

“As safety cannot been jeopardised by transparency and design, Reynaers developed its new balustrade RB Glass to meet today’s architectural trends,” says Ali Khalaf, managing director of Bahrain-based Reynaers Middle East, the regional office of the Belgian aluminium systems provider.

“RB Glass is an add-on glass balustrade for window areas in high-rise buildings. Even without balconies, you can now safely open your windows or sliding doors to enjoy an unobstructed view,” he explains.

The RB Glass solution is very flexible and is applicable to a wide range of Reynaers’ window and door systems such as the Concept System and MasterLine 8, and its sliding systems including Concept Patio and Hi-Finity.

Dedicated test results prove that RB Glass can hold glass panes up to 21.5-mm thick, with a maximum span of 2,000 mm. Different assembly possibilities have been fully documented to be compatible with building connections from all around the world, Khalaf adds.

Reynaers Middle East is part of Reynaers Aluminium, which provides innovative and sustainable architectural aluminium solutions including a wide variety of window and door systems, curtain-walling, sliding systems, sun screening, conservatories, skylights, screens and systems to incorporate blinds and ventilation grids.

Established in 1965 and with its headquarters in Duffel, Belgium, Reynaers Aluminium has offices in more than 30 countries worldwide.

Reynaers Middle East will be showcasing its diverse portfolio of products including its latest innovations at the Windows, Doors and Facades Event 2016 to be held next month (September 18 to 20) in Dubai, UAE.

At the event dedicated to its areas of specialisation – namely windows, doors and facades – the company will put the spotlight on its latest creation – MasterLine 8 – a new generation of innovative window systems as well as other window systems such as the SL-38-Ferro.

“The highly insulated Slim Line 38 has a ‘steel look’ and is ideal for modern architecture. The system is available in three unique design variants (Classic, Cubic and Ferro) and is suited for new buildings, where the unique slim lines allow for an abundance of light. It is also recommended for retrofitting in existing structures, for example an older conservatory to preserve the vintage appearance, or for renovation projects where steel frames have to be replaced. The profiles give a strong industrial and minimalistic architectural appeal to buildings,” says Khalaf.

At the event, Reynaers will also exhibit its most popular systems including the CW 50. On display at its stand will be the CW 50-ML variant to demonstrate the sophisticated multi-level drainage performance of the system.

Among doors, the firm will showcase its luxurious Hi-Finity, Concept Folding CF-77, CP-130 sliding system, CS 77 fire-proof systems with push bar and panic button, and SL-38-Cubic slim line series.

Reynaers can be visited at Stand Z5 A50, Zabeel Hall 5, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
