A wide range of security products and solutions from the Ireland-headquartered security specialist Allegion will be showcased through its distributors at The Big 5 exhibition this month.

The products include architectural hardware for commercial and residential buildings (locks, levers, electronic readers, doors, door closers, thresholds, exit devices and portable security); access control and security solutions for businesses, government facilities, hotels, multi-family housing, residences and sports facilities; advanced solutions like wireless access options for businesses and connected homes; anti-microbial surfaces for healthcare; and biometric and handprint solutions.

Serving the Middle East from its sales office in Dubai, UAE, Allegion opened a second sales office in Doha, Qatar, this year.

“Our main markets in the region are the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan and Bahrain,” says Jeff Bennett, commercial leader, the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.

Commenting on business levels in the region, Bennett says: “We have secured and worked on some very nice projects in 2016 that we are proud of. There are challenges in the region but we continue to focus on our core strategies.”

Allegion also made two acquisitions globally, he adds.

Based in Dublin, Allegion was established in 2013 as a result of a spin-off from Ingersoll Rand Technologies. In addition to the head office in Dublin, the company has three regional headquarters – in Faenza, Italy for Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA); in Shanghai, China, for Asia-Pacific (APAC) and one in Carmel, Indianapolis, US, for Americas. Allegion has 16 manufacturing facilities spread all over the world.
