The 13th annual Power-Gen Middle East Conference and Exhibition (PGME) will focus on renewables when it gets under way in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in October (4 to 6).

The event, which will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, will be inaugurated by Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE’s Minister of Energy.

The Ministry of Energy will be a key exhibitor at the event.

Event director Nigel Blackaby said: “We are honoured to have received the patronage of the minister and support from the UAE’s Ministry of Energy, which serves as a testament to the significant role Power-Gen Middle East has played in the industry and the region as a whole.

“Building on the event’s strong reputation in the region, this year PGME will feature  high quality strategic and technical conference themes as well as leading regional and international companies showcasing their latest equipment, technologies and solutions to address future power needs.”

Key exhibitors include Metka, AE Power International, Turbomach, AAF International, Masaood John Brown, Siemens, GEA Middle East, Wartsila, Amec Foster Wheeler, Mitsubishi Hitachi, Ansaldo Energia, Durag Group, Quartzelec and PW Power Systems.

Meanwhile, top regional power producing companies Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) and Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) are set to take part as supporting entities at the event.
