Meydan Sobha said its ambitious project Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City – District One has been recognised as the best architectural design community at the Urban Community Development Middle East Forum.

The Urban Community Development Middle East Forum was held last month (May 16 and 17) in Dubai, UAE. Organised alongside the Urban Community Development Conference, the awards are designed to recognise the game changers in urban community development.

A joint venture project between top developers Meydan and Sobha Group, Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City – District One is the first residential community taking shape in MBR City.

With a total land area of 45 million sq ft, enclosed by green natural surroundings, the community presents one of the lowest density villa developments in the heart of any international city.

Saeed Humaid Al Tayer, the chairman of Meydan Sobha, said: “To be recognised for our achievements in architectural design is a great motivator for us to continue developing and building communities such as Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City – District One.”

District One brings together a 7-km crystal lagoon, beaches, a 14-km boardwalk, parklands and breathtaking architecture.
