Kuwait’s Jahra Road project is about 94 per cent complete, assistant undersecretary at the Ministry of Public Works Ahmad Al Hassan said.

The development project is the upgrade of existing at-grade Jahra Road located in bustling industrial area of Shuwaikh. The project consists of 17.7 km of road, composed of a main viaduct and several link bridges.

The Jahra viaduct provides an instant access to Kuwait City when arriving from the west.

Moreover, the project will be connected to the Jamal Abdul Nasser viaduct, a parallel road currently under construction.

The elevated portion of the project opened in November 2016.
