July 2018

Arabtec Holding, a leading construction company in the Middle East, said one of its subsidiaries, Efeco (Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Company), has been awarded a MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) works contract worth Dh117 million ($32 million) for the Creek Horizon Plot 19 in Emaar’s Dubai Creek Harbour Development by the main contractor, AFC.

Creek Horizon’s towers are located adjacent to the central park of the Island District and next to Efeco’s ongoing project ‘Creekside 18’, said  Arabtec.

Creek Horizon Plot 19 has a total built-up area of 130,000 sq m and the towers will feature approximately 550 contemporary apartments. The project works, which were due to commence last month (June), are due for completion in 20 months.

On the contract win, group CEO Hamish Tyrwhitt said: “We are pleased that Efeco has been awarded another project in the Dubai Creek Harbour Development. Repeat business from our key clients is testament to our ongoing commitment towards applying innovative approaches to enhance our work and delivery capabilities.”

“We look forward to working with AFC and on another project for Emaar Properties as we continue to build on our solid relationships in our core markets,” he added.

A leading contractor for social and economic infrastructure, Arabtec said it improves the quality of life of people living in the communities that it creates.

The Emirati builder’s impressive list of completed projects includes iconic buildings such as the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Abu Dhabi landmarks such as the Emirates Palace Hotel and Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum, as well as other technically challenging work on airports and related infrastructure.
