Global mega-sporting events specialist Losberger De Boer said it has undertaken a major contract from the Saudi government to build the temporary structure for the inaugural electric Grand Prix held at the Riyadh City Race Circuit last month.

As per the deal, the international temporary structures specialist built the 190-m-long pit lane along with second floor hospitality and viewing facilities. Losberger De Boer was responsible for project managing turnkey delivery of the entire pit lane structure to support the event within a tight 40-day build timeframe together with rapid dismantling immediately following race day.

With close to 700 projects every year, Losberger De Boer also delivers the world’s largest temporary event overlay for the bi-annual Farnborough Airshow in the UK and installs temporary structures annually at Bauma, the largest construction showcase, in Germany. Last year, it also built the Middle East’s largest temporary exhibition hall, Bay X, at King Abdullah Economic City in Saudi Arabia.
