US Chiller Services (USCS) has been awarded a contract for the comprehensive operation and maintenance of three district cooling plants for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc).

According to a spokesman for Al Shirawi US Chiller Services, USCS will be responsible for the complete operation, maintenance, services and energy optimisation of the three chilled water plants for five years beginning March 1, 2019.

The three plants have a total installed capacity of 26,000 tons of electric-driven centrifugal chillers.

“Re-commissioning/retro-commissioning services started immediately upon award of the plants to ensure chiller and ancillary equipment reliability and optimum efficiency as well as set benchmarks for future ECM’s (energy conservation measures),” says the spokesman.

Al Shirawi US Chiller Services, a joint venture company between Dubai-based Al Shirawi Group and US Chiller Services, has been providing chiller services and energy solutions in the Gulf region since 2001. It provides specialist services for large tonnage centrifugal chillers, liquid chillers and energy solutions, as well as operation and maintenance services for the district cooling industry. The company specialises in the repair, maintenance, retrofit and service of all OEM (original equipment manufacturers) makes and models of large tonnage chillers ranging in size from 200 tons to 10,000 tons.
