HHG received the ‘Best Stand Award’ at the expo.

Haji Hassan Group (HHG) says its regular participation at the Gulf Construction Expo has resulted in good success for the leading diversified construction-focused group, which has signed up as a Strategic Sponsor for this year’s event.

Group deputy chairman Waheed Hassan Al A’ali tells Gulf Construction: “Our Strategic Sponsorship support for Gulf Construction Expo delivers on two goals for the company. Firstly, we look to promote the world-class capabilities of Haji Hassan which has been built with over 67 years of expertise and investment in our facilities; and secondly we see Gulf Construction Expo as an important showcase to present Bahrain as a leader in quality building materials.”

Haji Hassan Group is a conglomeration of complementary businesses which have been serving the construction and industrial services sectors in Bahrain and the GCC since 1952.

Amongst the group’s companies represented will be the Arabian Parts Company, Bahrain Asphalt, Arabian Chemical Industries (Isola), Haji Hasan Ready-mix, Bahrain Pipes, Bahrain Precast Concrete, Bahrain Blocks and Haji Hassan Reinforcement, he states.

Each entity specialises in essential resources for the construction sector such as building materials, precast concrete, readymix concrete, plastic and sewage pipes, construction chemicals, concrete blocks, steel reinforcement, rubber and mechanical engineering spare parts.

Commenting on last year’s edition, a spokesman for the company says: “It was indeed a successful and well-organised event last year; a great opportunity where we were able to showcase our products and services. And to top it all, HHG proudly received the ‘Best Stand Award’ at the expo as well.”

He says, during the three-day event, the company received enquiries about its products and services showcased during the show.

“Most of the visitors to our stand showed interest in these products and services. Further deals and sales were carried out later on,” the spokesman adds.

Gulf Construction Expo, he says, is a remarkable event that allows HHG to access many construction business sectors.

“As one of the most prestigious construction companies in Bahrain, our strategic partnership and annual participation in the expo has given us an opportunity to maintain our market position within the kingdom. The show is a window to meet many potential clients and build our brand’s awareness. It also allows us to introduce and showcase quality products and services to different business sectors in Bahrain and abroad,” the spokesman adds.

As a group of companies, at this year’s show, HHG intends to introduce quality products and services offered by each of its divisions, including building construction materials, such as precast concrete, readymix concrete, steel reinforcement, admixtures, plastic pipes, rubber, drainage systems, concrete blocks and pavers; innovative infrastructure solutions; and automotive spare parts and accessories for both lightweight and heavy vehicles.

“Our participation in the expo helps us to introduce our brand to many potential clients,” says the spokesman.

HHG is currently engaged in several projects, including many for the Ministry of Works, such as an access road to the US naval base, civil term contract 2017-2019, asphalt term contract 2017-2019, widening of Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Highway, and King Faisal Highway refurbishment works – all by member company Bahrain Asphalt.

Bahrain Asphalt is also involved in asphalt works for Potline 6 at Alba, and car-park development at Banagas.

The group is supplying to Diyar Al Muharraq, Al Shamaliya Housing project, and Bahrain International Airport through Bahrain Pipes.

Meanwhile, another member company Bahrain Precast is supplying for Alba’s substation and non-process buildings, BDF’s clinic and car-park (cladding panels), BDF boundary wall, and Marassi Al Bahrain car-park and mall.

In addition, other projects undertaken in the past year and supplied to by various group companies include Ramli Housing Project, Alba Potline, Bahrain Marina, Ikea Bahrain, American University of Bahrain, Fontana Infinity, Bahrain International Airport expansion, Jasra Interchange, Marassi Al Bahrain infrastructure works, and Bahrain Bay food and beverage (F&B) kiosks.

Commenting on plans for the future, the spokesman says HHG aims to maintain its legacy, which includes a commitment to the ongoing development of the industrial, structural, infrastructural business of the region, and its regional leadership as a premier building manufacturer, constructor and provider.
