Eagle Hills launches sale of Sharjah waterfront property

UAE-based Eagle Hills Sharjah has announced the sales launch of Indigo Beach Residence, the latest residential building located along the main boulevard of Maryam Island, Sharjah’s most prestigious waterfront address.

A leading developer in the emirate, Eagle Hills Sharjah is a joint venture between Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) and Abu Dhabi-based Eagle Hills.

Indigo Beach Residence represents the fourth residential building launched in Maryam Island, a premium beachfront development located in downtown Sharjah overlooking the Arabian Gulf.

Comprising a total of 167 units from studios to three-bedroom apartments, it offers an ample choice for dining and shopping with a total of 20 retail and F&B (food and beverage) outlets. Residents will benefit from multiple swimming pools, a community gym and a dedicated children’s playground. The building is located within walking distance from the beach and offers easy access to a wide range of leisure activities in Maryam Island.

A one-of-a-kind waterfront destination in Sharjah, it is focused on creating a world-class integrated lifestyle community designed for residents and tourists alike. The island is home to residential apartments, retail outlets, luxury hotels and a variety of restaurants. Health and well-being facilities such as a fitness club, a swimming pool and a children’s playing area also form part of the community’s modern features.

Maryam Island is one of three major developments, alongside Kalba Waterfront and Palace Al Khan, which represent Eagle Hills’ first foray into Sharjah.

The projects are being developed in partnership with Shurooq in line with Eagle Hills’ vision to build integrated residential, hospitality, retail and lifestyle communities in Sharjah.

Imkan gets good investor interest in new Pixel tower

Imkan, an Abu Dhabi-based real estate developer with a portfolio of 26 projects spanning three continents, launched the sales of its new tower at Pixel located within its mixed-use project, Makers District, on Reem Island in Abu Dhabi.

The sales, held last month, witnessed an overwhelming response from investors, says the developer. The project is scheduled for completion in Q2 of 2021.

Pixel is the first project in the UAE of MVRDV, an award-winning Dutch architect.

The community will be made up of 525 residential units within seven mixed-use residential towers that are surrounded by quiet pocket gardens and frame a centralised pedestrianised plaza – home to an artisanal mix of food and beverage (F&B), retail spaces and offices, says the developer.

Just 400 m walk from Al Reem Island’s first public beach within a community, and 300 m away from what will be the buzzing Waterfront Plaza, Pixel is designed to offer occupants a strong sense of community surrounded by an engaging and beautiful environment, it states.

CEO Walid El Hindi says: “Research is infused at every stage of our place-making process, and through the development of Makers District our research has shown that communities thrive where creativity can be expressed, nurtured and cultivated.”

“Pixel has been designed with this very notion at the forefront. We’ve honed in on the most valuable components: the public realm and the negative spaces between buildings to define the community.”

Makers District on Reem Island is a scenic waterfront community designed to cultivate creativity, and will be home to “Makers” – artists, entrepreneurs, curators, artisans, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Aldar completes $272m UAE mall expansion

Aldar Properties has officially opened the outdoor retail park at Al Jimi Mall, the first shopping and entertainment destination in Al Ain, following a key expansion and renovation programme.

The expansion to the shopping and entertainment destination gives Aldar a Dh1-billion ($272 million) asset in Al Ain, which will see the arrival of over 100 new brands and F&B (food and beverages) outlets, bringing the total store count to over 200 shops.

Located in the heart of Al Ain, Al Jimi Mall provides a diverse range of retail options including the city’s first outdoor ‘Retail Park’ concept, new fashion and furniture stores, nine new F&B outlets at the Retail Park, and Al Ain’s first eight-screen Vox Cinemas. The complex also features one MAX cinema with a mega-screen for the biggest blockbusters, a Kids cinema and four regular VOX Cinemas’ screens.

The extension adds 33,000 sq m of gross leasable area (GLA) to the mall, which is over 96 per cent leased. It also includes 1,200 extra car-parking spaces, doubling the capacity of the mall’s existing parking lot and making access even easier and more convenient.
