Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has announced the completion of the ‘Z35 Roads and Infrastructure Project’ valued at Dh280.7 million ($76.5 million) at Mohamed bin Zayed City in Abu Dhabi.

The project included the construction of internal roads and infrastructure for residential plots, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM), reported Emirates news agency Wam.

The Z35 project is located 20 km south of Abu Dhabi International Airport, at Al Mafraq intersection on the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Highway.

Works also included stormwater drainage, potable water, sewage drainage, telecommunications networks, streetlighting and an electricity network with 21 power substations. The project serves 531 residential plots, four mosques, three schools and 25 social and sports facilities, providing integrated infrastructure services.

Among other developments, Musanada said the Dh58-million Al Aryam Bridge Interchange project on Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Highway has been completed in cooperation with the Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi. The project connects Al Aryam island located 60 km from Abu Dhabi city to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed highway.

Approximately 450 engineers and workers were engaged on this project to construct a main bridge, a utility bridge beside entrances and exits off the bridge, in addition to a surface water drainage network, install traffic and road signs and supply LED streetlighting for the bridge and its entrances and exits.
