The Budma this year ... 50,000 people attended.

The Budma International Construction and Architecture Fair, the largest construction industry trade showcase in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), is gearing up to host the next edition of the highly successful exhibition which opens in February (4-7) next year.

This year, the fair attracted nearly 50,000 professionals from 49 countries and 1,000 exhibitors from 30 countries. Organised by the MTP Group at MTP Poznan Expo in the Polish city of Poznan, the event was held concurrently with the WinDoor-tech Fair from February 12 to 15.

Budma has been recording a steady growth in foreign participants every year, says the organiser. In the 2019 edition, the figure was around 10 per cent. The largest group at Budma 2019 was from Germany, followed by Ukraine and Lithuania.

An important element of Budma is the ‘Hosted Buyers’ programme, which arranges meetings of buyer countries with the highest import potential. To date, over 2,500 people have used the programme.

Meanwhile, WinDoor-tech is an important fair considering that Polish wood joinery industry is one of the most competitive. The expo offers manufacturers and distributors of machines and components for windows, doors, gates and facade systems a meeting point under one roof.

Budma also conducts the prestigious MTP Gold Medal competition, which attracts almost 500 entries each year. The award recognises products that promote features such as innovation, ingenuity and modernity. This year, 43 products were awarded the MTP Gold Medal. Additionally, there were over 150 market premiers.
