Construction of a new sports medicine hospital in Bahrain, which will provide treatment and sports rehabilitation services to athletes and the public, will begin shortly, following the go-ahead given to the project by Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) first deputy chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

According to the BOC’s secretary general Mohammed Al Nusuf, a consultant will be chosen shortly to manage the sports medicine hospital project.
