1,000 lots expected to be auctioned in Dubai.

The upcoming sale being held in Dubai, UAE, by Euro Auctions, the global auctioneers of industrial plant, construction equipment and agricultural machinery, will see close to 1,000 lots and consignors from across the region.

The much-anticipated Dubai auction on September 16 will appeal to an ever-increasing number of bidders looking to acquire fantastic deals from the prestigious array of quality equipment being offered, said the auctioneer, which continues to build upon its success in the Middle East.

Euro Auctions is seeing activity from consignors from further afield, who see the Middle East as the ideal market into which to sell equipment. In line with previous sales, more than 30 per cent of bidding will be transacted online and the average lot prices have been increasing sale on sale, reflecting the quality of the equipment being consigned to the auction by the ever-expanding number of vendors.

New bidder registrations are also increasing significantly, sale on sale, with up to 30 per cent of first-time bidders buying at each sale.

Whilst buyers at each sale predominantly come from the Middle East including the UAE, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Jordan as well as from Turkey, Egypt and Pakistan, Euro Auctions is seeing strong interest from Western European, with the UK, Netherlands and Spain all well represented.

“The general consensus is that around two-thirds of all the quality equipment sold at the Euro Auctions sale in Dubai will be retained in the Middle East for use on emerging projects but a good proportion of the rest looks like it could be returning to Europe,” said Euro Auctions Middle East territory manager Richard Sweatt.

“The quality of the equipment being offered in Dubai appeals to global buyers as does our strong market presence, together helping deliver real growth.  Both bidders and vendors like what we have achieved in the region in such a short space of time and are backing us to continue to deliver a viable and effective solution for buying and disposing of plant in the region.

“They appreciate the knowledgeable staff and facilities we offer in Dubai along with our access to quality equipment; coupled with the overall service and global reach Euro Auctions provides,” he added.

Euro Auctions has a 91,000-sq-m permanent site in the Jebel Ali Free Zone that includes a purpose-built auction complex covering over 3,000 sq m with a 360-seat, fully air-conditioned enclosed auction arena, as well as ancillary buildings, workshops and infrastructure.

Other upcoming Euro Auctions sales around the world will be held in Dormagen, Germany (September 4 and 5); Dromore, Northern Ireland (September 13 and 14); Zaragoza, Spain (September 18); and Yoder & Frey, the US (October 3).
