Emirates Steel will be returning to The  Big 5 exhibition for the fifth consecutive year, where it will showcase its steel products including rebar, rebar in coil, wire rod, heavy sections and sheet piles.

The company will also highlight its future plans to transform itself into a total steel solutions provider, expanding further into high-value steel products, while improving product and service quality, reducing environmental footprint and increasing safety.

Owned by Senaat, Emirates Steel is the only integrated steel plant in the UAE and is among the major exhibitors at this special trade show. Established in 1998, Emirates Steel has grown from a simple re-roller of imported steel billets to a complex integrated manufacturing plant, using modern solutions to tackle traditional industrial problems to generate value for its various stakeholders.

In 2012, the company boosted its capacity to 3.5 million tonnes per year, following two expansions and an investment of Dh11 billion ($ 3 billion). Emirates Steel utilises the latest rolling mill technology to produce rebar, wire rod and heavy sections.

“Emirates Steel’s underlying business goal is to be an efficient and competitive producer of finished steel products. To achieve this, the company continually and significantly invests in expansions in the areas of processing, manufacturing and information technology,” says a spokesman for the company.

“In addition, these investments help to improve product and service quality, reduce the company’s environmental footprint and increase safety for workers and customers,” the spokesman adds.
