Jotun Egypt has won its third painting contract for the Four Seasons hotel chain in Egypt.

The paint company, which has already completed two contracts for the Four Seasons hotel at Sharm El Sheikh and the Nile Plaza, has now been awarded the painting contract for the new hotel at San Stefano in Alexandria.
Depa Egypt, a branch of the leading interior décor firm Depa Holding, won the interior décor works for the Four Seasons and Jotun is a partner in this prestigious project.
“We are proud to sign the contract for the San Stefano Four Seasons hotel,” says Hesham El Sharkawy, general manager of Depa Egypt. “We won the contract based on our track record for successful projects, including the Sheraton Montazah, Hilton Luxor, Holiday Inn at Sharm El Sheikh, and JW Marriott Mirage City and Golden Pyramids Entertainment City, both in Cairo,” he says.
“Our business philosophy is based on providing our clients with the highest standards of workmanship, using quality materials and targeted budget management and meeting tight schedules,” he points out.
Three decades of prestigious hotel interior contracts for renowned hotel groups worldwide has made Depa a leading international company, he adds.
“The San Stefano Grand Plaza includes every conceivable modern privilege: from a five-star Four Seasons hotel and shopping mall, to luxury residential units and commercial facilities,” Sharkawy says.
The San Stefano project, which is set on 31,000 sq m of prime real estate land, overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and has a 170-m-long frontage alongside the beach.
The residential part of the project houses 900 apartments, varying in design and size, ranging from 131 sq m to 1,271 sq m.
The four-level shopping mall occupies the upper storey of the basement and the first three floors of the tower. The mall boasts the finest selection of brand names in the world and also has 10 cinemas.
The Four Seasons hotel has 127 rooms and suites overlooking the Mediterranean and 120 residential suites. It also features a private beach, cabins, yacht marina and a beach restaurant.
A spokesman for Jotun comments: “Jotun Egypt is looking forward to undertaking this splendid supply contract for the residential and the shopping mall.”
Jotun’s project team for the Egypt property is led by project manager Hesham Gomaa, who was assisted by Asharf Maged (commercial support) and Ahmed Abu Alfa and Yasser Hassan (technical support).
Laing International is the construction manager for the San Stefano Grand Plaza project and Al Habtoor-M&R-Siac is the reinforced concrete skeleton contractor. Dar Al Handasah is the engineer’s representative.
