The Yanmar and Al Mahroos team at the Big 5.

Yanmar Construction Equipment Company Limited (YCE), a Japanese construction equipment leader that manufactures modern compact excavators, wheel loaders, tool carriers and lighting towers, launched its compact excavators for the Gulf markets at the recent Big 5 exhibition held in November in Dubai.

This line, ranging from 0.8 to 10 tonnes, will be available through its distributor M H Al Mahroos, a Bahrain-based construction and industrial machinery “total-solution” provider.
“The response at the recent Big 5 was overwhelming and we are quite confident about our success in this region,” says Sugino, senior manager from YCE, Japan. “Our compact excavators are unique in their patented features such as true zero-tail-swing, hydraulic quick coupler, progressive three-pump system (VIPPs) and track adjustment system (Victas). The Yanmar compact excavators are powered by our TNV series diesel engines, which comply with EPA and EU emission norms, optimising engine operation with less fuel consumption. These user-friendly machines make even big excavating jobs easy for customers,” he adds.
“Yanmar compact excavators are very modern and quite different from conventional excavators and backhoe loaders. Exclusively designed and developed for excavation jobs, these machines perform faster and more efficiently than backhoes loaders,” says Hassan Al Mahroos, managing director of Al Mahroos.
“We have received quite a substantial number of dealer enquiries at the Big 5 trade show and are in the process of selecting and appointing the most suitable and efficient agents in various Gulf countries to serve our regional customers more effectively in terms of both quick supply and timely service,” he adds.
YCE is currently focusing on the Gulf markets in view of the current boom in the region’s infrastructure developmental activities. With professional and aggressive support from Al Mahroos as its distributors in the region, the company plans to penetrate the market even further.
Al Mahroos has plans to soon establish its own presence in various countries of the Gulf to strengthen the marketing and sales efforts of its dealers with the ultimate aim of providing “the right product at the right place and at the right cost of both equipment and after-sales service to all Gulf customers,” he says.
