Bloom Properties, a specialist in the development of integrated and sustainable communities, has announced the completion of enabling works at its residential development, Bloom Towers, located in Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) in Dubai.

Damac Properties, a luxury real estate project developer in the UAE, has awarded a Dh72-million ($19.6 million) contract to China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) for major road and infrastructure works at its Akoya Oxygen development in Dubai. With this contract, the total construction spend by Damac has risen to over Dh5.

A state-of-the-art grand mosque, with a gross floor area of 14,500 sq ft, is taking shape within Gate Avenue – the new premium urban retail, leisure and cultural development at the heart of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) – and is set to open in 2019.

Dubai Creek Tower, a global icon being built by leading developer Emaar in the heart of the 6-sq-km Dubai Creek Harbour, has completed concrete placement for the pile cap two months ahead of  schedule. The concrete pouring began in September last year and reached over 50 per cent completion in January 2018, said Emaar.

With a workforce of about 5,000 on site, and more than 8.8 million manhours achieved already, about 60 per cent of the mall’s structure has been completed.

UAE master developer Nakheel has awarded a contract worth Dh447 million ($122 million) for the construction of a 12-lane bridge connecting Deira Islands, its premium tourism, leisure, retail and entertainment hub, with the Dubai mainland.

Nakheel has signed a contract worth Dh66 million ($18 million) for the development of a choreographed fountain at The Pointe, its new Dh800-million ($218 million) waterfront dining and entertainment destination on Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.

UAE developer RSG Group of Companies has awarded a Dh500-million ($136 million) construction deal to Al Habbai Contracting for its landmark five-star hotel and hotel apartment property ‘Sabah Rotana’ in Dubai.

UAE-based Al Rashed Peikko said its sales and production unit, Peikko Gulf, has started building a new factory and warehouse premises on an industrial plot in Ras Al Khaimah at an investment of around €4 million ($4.7 million).

Work is in full swing at Abu Dhabi’s $1.2 billion Reem Mall, the emirate’s leading retail, dining and leisure destination, with the substructure nearly finished and several sections of floor of the superstructure already completed, said a top official.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has endorsed the final designs of public bus stations being developed for Expo 2020.  A total of 14 bus passengers’ stations will be set up in addition to one bus depot at Al Quoz, said the RTA.
