Speciality Engineering Chemicals (SpEC), a leading UAE-based manufacturer of construction chemicals, has broken ground on its new factory and office extension project in the Jebel Ali Free Zone area of Dubai.

SpEC is a manufacturing unit of Lebanese group Bardawil which has more than 65 years experience in the construction industry and a major presence in the UK and Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.

This investment is part of SpEC’s “scale up” strategy to increase production capacity to meet the growing demand for the group's construction chemicals in all its target markets in the Middle East, Far East and Africa region, said a statement from the company.

The project is due for completion in March next year, it added.

A major player in the region, SpEC makes its presence felt at leading industry expos. It had been a key exhibitor at the World of Concrete Exhibition (WOC 2018), one of the largest global construction event, held in January at Las Vegas.

Also it showcased its innovative products at last year's Big 5 Show, the leading international building and construction exhibition in the Middle East region, held in Dubai.-TradeArabia News Service
