A group of UAE investment companies have signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) for cooperation in energy and infrastructure development with Bangladeshi counterparts, a media report said.

The MoUs provide for investing in energy and renewable energy sectors, as well as joint development of specialised economic zones, ports and free zones in Bangladesh, reported state news agency Wam.

Some MoUs also deal with provision of smart community solutions, maritime and cruise services, rail transport and logistics; manufacturing and industries, tourism and hospitality, healthcare and urban development, including development of residential, commercial and industrial real estate.
