Dubai Festival City, an Al Futtaim Group property, has launched the second phase of its expansion work that aims to create more space for its retail outlets, said a report.

One of the UAE's leading retail, dining and leisure attractions, DFC will see an enlarged Festival Square connecting with the dining locations set on the waterfront, reported the Gulf News, citing a company official.

“Launching the second phase is testament to our commitment towards our stakeholders and Dubai’s growth,” remarked Murray Bell, the managing director for retail at Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate.

Several high-profile retailers including Landmark Group and the apparel retailer H&M have started operations at the mall.

“Responding to the wants and needs of our guests and retailers underpins all that we do,” he added.
