Dryburgh ... set for a major task.

Amec Foster Wheeler, a leading engineering and project management company, has appointed Garry Dryburgh as the group's president for Middle East and Africa (MEA) region effective August 9.

Based out of Abu Dhabi, Dryburgh will report to Roberto Penno, the group president for Asia, MEA and Southern Europe.

He will continue to lead the Amec Foster Wheeler integration programme and also be accountable for these advanced activities through to their completion, said a statement from the company.

Prior to his appointment as the London-based integration director in 2014, Dryburgh was executive vice president, Asia-Pacific, based in Perth, Australia. He joined the company in 2006.

Commenting on the appointment, Penno said: “I am delighted to have someone with Dryburgh's depth and breadth of expertise for this significant role, which encompasses a diverse portfolio of countries, cultures and growth opportunities.”

With pro-forma 2014 annualised scope revenues of £5.5 billion ($8.63 billion) and over 40,000 people in more than 50 countries, the company operates across the whole of the oil and gas industry and in the mining, clean energy, power generation, pharma, environment and infrastructure markets.-TradeArabia News Service
