Younan ... ranking illustrates our industry-leading quality and innovation.

DC Pro Engineering UAE, a leading global authority in district energy and regional pioneer in sustainable green building MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) designs, has moved up 35 notches to 32nd position in the list of Dubai’s 100 top performing SMEs (small and medium enterprises).

The third cycle of the Dubai SME 100 ranking saw 4,532 companies enroll – a 49 per cent increase on the 3,041 companies who enrolled in the second cycle in 2013. Collectively, the companies enrolled in the third cycle represented net revenues of Dh69.5 billion ($19 billion) and a workforce of over 144,000.

Having missed out altogether on a top 100 ranking in 2013, DC Pro Engineering has effectively jumped from 67th in 2011 to 32nd this year, said a statement from the UAE firm.

The company was also the top-ranked engineering consultancy in this year’s list, it added.

“We are grateful to Dubai SME 100 for recognising DC Pro Engineering for a second time,” remarked Fouad Younan, the company’s managing director.

“Our highest-ever ranking illustrates the industry-leading quality and innovation that DC Pro Engineering is driving for the benefit of the regional and global community. As a leading MEP firm in the Middle East, we hope that the awarding of several mega projects in the GCC, North America, Australia, Singapore and Africa propels us further up the rankings when the fourth cycle comes around,” he stated.

After posting record sales and profit results of 33 per cent and 66 per cent, respectively, for the first eight months of 2015, DC Pro Engineering’s five-year growth strategy is aimed at increasing its annual turnover five-fold by 2020, noted Younan.

The company’s key projects feature some of the largest in the Middle East including Jeddah’s Kingdom Tower, envisioned to be the world’s tallest building, and the new King Abdul Aziz International Airport, as well as Riyadh’s Al Bustan II Development.

The company is also involved in several projects including the Khalifa Stadium project in Qatar, the Maryah Island and Saadiyat Island projects in Abu Dhabi and the award-winning Innovation Park in Muscat.

The Dubai SME 100 is a premier ranking launched by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME Development (MBRE).

It seeks to identify and rank companies based on a comprehensive evaluation process covering multiple financial and non-financial parameters.

It also serves as an effective tool to identify promising and progressive SMEs, recognise resource gaps, identify areas of improvement and, ultimately, evolve them into bigger, better and more sustainable homegrown enterprises.-TradeArabia News Service
