Sharjah government will start work on Dh150 million ($41 million) worth of infrastructure projects this year with special focus on sustainable urban development, said a report.
Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, gave green signal to the proposals submitted by the municipal councils to the Department of Public Works in Sharjah, according to emirati news agency Wam.
The department has formulated a construction plan spanning the entire emirate to achieve sustainable urban development while striking a balance among all projects.
These include academic, sports and educational projects, which will be executed as per schedule, the report added.
