SNC-Lavalin wins $800m EPC project in Mideast

SNC-Lavalin, a global engineering and construction group, has been awarded a contract worth about $800 million for developing the infrastructure and processing facilities for a gas field in the Middle East.

The project will involve SNC-Lavalin's lump sum turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) facilities for connecting gas producing wells into the main processing plant.

"A substantial award such as this shows our continued focus on our clients and the resilience of our business model, despite the ongoing pressures in the industry," said Christian Brown, president, Oil & Gas, SNC-Lavalin.

"We are very pleased to grow our project portfolio with this key client and are excited to be combining resources from Valerus, our gas handling and processing experts, with our strong engineering team to deliver this project,” he added.

For over 50 years, SNC-Lavalin has been successfully delivering projects in the Middle East across a variety of industry sectors, including infrastructure, oil and gas, mining and power.

With close to 25 per cent of its global workforce based in the Middle East, SNC-Lavalin's broad presence in this key growth region allows the company to deliver sustainable, customized and high-quality project solutions to its local clients, a statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
