UAE-based Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium Public Institution has invited expressions of interest (EOI) from leading construction companies for the development and operation of a resort and hotel in the second largest city in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The Al Ain Zoo's move comes as part of its plan to transform the existing facility into a new learning destination and a tourist attraction called the Al Ain Wildlife Park & Resort, which will be dedicated to conserving wildlife.

The government entity has also sought prequalification bids from these companies for the resort project by the third week of September.

A 400-hectare zoo located in the foothills of the Jebel Hafeet Mountains in the UAE, the Al Ain Zoo mainly comprises Arabian antelopes and oryx, eland, gazelle, and lechwe that can be found in the tree-shaded paddocks which offer excellent breeding conditions.

Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium Public Institution is also planning to develop and operate a sports area that include hiring and maintenance of mountain bikes, commercial shops and outdoor playing pitches.

The entity is offering a lot of investment opportunities for companies in these projects and giving them a chance to operate one/all of the restaurants in the zoo.

Companies are also being invited to invest in and operate one/all of the kiosks for the provision of pre-packed and ready food and beverages inside the park.-TradeArabia News Service
