Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has started operating the 33/132/380 kV Al Julla power station, built at a cost of  SR590 million ($157.34 million). 
 
The plant will serve a number of cities and villages in Riyadh, especially Quwaiyyah, Muzahmiyeh, Dharma and neighbouring villages.
 
SEC said the plant was established within the framework of the company's policy to support local manufacturers in the field of electric power. The station is operated by trained Saudi engineers and technicians.
