Jacobs Engineering Group has been awarded a contract by Nesma and Partners for programme management services for the Saudi Arabian National Guard Hospital Programme.

Under the three-year contract, Jacobs will support Nesma and Partners in managing a programme that involves building five hospitals on four sites in Saudi Arabia. This comprises a 300-bed maternity hospital in Riyadh, two 300-bed National Guard hospitals in Qassim and Taif, and a 346-bed children’s hospital and 176-bed neurological hospital on an existing hospital site in Jeddah.

Nesma and Partners, the general contractor, brought Jacobs on to the project to leverage its global experience in managing the design and construction of healthcare facilities – particularly the state-of-the-art Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi project it recently managed in the UAE. Jacobs is mobilising a number of its healthcare professionals plus local hires to work on the project.
