HILL International, a global leader in managing construction risk, has won a project management contract from the Oman’s Ministry of Transportation and Communications for the construction of Sections One and Two of the Bidbid Sur Road in Oman.

The three-year contract has an estimated value of approximately RO1.5 million ($4 million). The total project is worth RO432 million ($1.1 billion) and includes nine interchanges, two underpasses, two overpasses, associated retaining wall structures and approximately 171 reinforced concrete culverts. The 247-km, six-lane highway will connect the cities of Bidbid and Sur.

“The positive impact of the highway on commerce and tourism will benefit all of Oman,” said Mohammed Al Rais, senior vice-president and managing director (Middle East) for Hill’s Project Management Group.
