The Big 5

Diversification move

UAE-BASED Al Muqarram Industry (AMI), a leading manufacturer of high-quality silicone sealants, adhesive tapes, spray paints, car care products in the Middle East region and beyond, has opened a new factory for air fresheners and paints production.

The new unit, called Al Muqarram Air Fresheners and Paints Industry (AMAPI), is located in Umm Al Quwain Industrial Zone, UAE, and is part of the company’s efforts to diversify its product range.

The new factory and its products will be promoted alongside AMI’s extensive portfolio at The Big 5 show.

“AMI’s strong global presence has provided the company with wide experience in trading and distributing various commodities and manufacturing items for industrial and commercial applications in the UAE,” says a spokesman.

He continues: “Anticipating wide opportunities worldwide for the company’s products, AMI has successfully expanded and opened new markets in the GCC, Middle East, Europe, North and South America, East and South Africa, and Russia. Providing an extensive and superior product line, drawing up an extensive marketing plan, creating product awareness and catering to green building concepts are all part of our growth strategy.”

AMI exports to different parts of the world and has established successful collaborations with exclusive agencies and leading importers in many countries in order to create brand awareness and market its products.

The company believes the way to get stronger in the global market is to support its partners and agents and to exhibit at leading trade shows the world over.

“Having successfully participated at The Big 5 exhibition for the past few years, AMI will once again be part of the leading construction event,” he says.

“The Big 5 Dubai is an important event as it offers an opportunity to visitors to see the latest products on the global market,” he adds.

AMI products to be displayed at the show include:

• High-performance weather sealants: AMI believes that expanding its product range will assist it in penetrating new markets. Its range of sealants includes silicone sealants for building and construction, the automotive sector, concrete, marble and granite, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) and aluminium industries. AMI can produce large quantities of high-quality oxime, acetoxy and acrylic-based sealants, capable of polymerising at room temperature with superior long-term weathering, ultraviolet (UV) and ozone resistance properties;

• Silicone Neutraseal: AMI’s Neutral oxime series general-purpose and weather sealants are one-component, high-performance, 100-per-cent neutral-cure silicone sealants formulated to give superior adhesion and durability in a wide range of glazing, weather sealing and trade applications. It offers excellent resistance to weathering, UV radiation, moisture, temperature extremes, and many cleaning detergents and solvents.

• Structural weather sealants: These are neutral alkoxy one-component, high-performance, 100 per cent neutral cure silicone sealants formulated to give superior adhesion and durability in a wide range of glazing, weather sealing and trade applications.

AMI will also showcase other products such as adhesive tapes for the packaging industry, paints, do-it-yourself (DIY) and HVAC market, and thermo coatings.

The spokesman says pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes including those for BOPP (bi-oriented polypropylene), masking, duct, aluminium foil, FSK (foil/scrim/kraft), PVC (polyvinyl chloride) surface protection, polyethylene (PE) and warning tapes are made according to customer requirements.

“AMI ensures precision in work using the latest machinery and excellent printing facilities. In general, with our state-of-the-art facilities, we can cater to all kinds of customer needs with complete confidence,” he adds.

Describing another product, the PE protection tape with PE plastic film as substrate coated with cross-linked acrylic emulsion adhesive, he says: “These soft adhesive tapes are easy to paste and peel and do not leave any residue on adhered surface after peeling.”

AMI will also promote surface protection tapes that offer temporary protection to surfaces against scratching, chipping, abrasion and UV radiation during production, packaging, shipping and installation.

The company also produces PVC pipe-wrapping tape – a polyvinylchloride film, coated with synthetic rubber pressure-sensitive adhesives – offering excellent peel strength, anti-corrosive properties and moisture resistance.

The spokesman says AMI has the ability to act quickly on all manufacturing requirements.

“We can cater to any specifications and also offer private labelling and printing. We support our customers by providing superior products and services of exceptional value which will help them gain a competitive advantage.

Apart from its manufacturing activities, AMI has a trading division that deals with polyurethane (PU) foam products for the building and construction industry. It also offers an extensive range of car-care products.

The spokesman comments: “We try to pursue AMI’s mission by constantly seeking new ideas and applying new technologies.”

The company strongly believes in its team as an important asset that contributes to its continued success.

“AMI also provides a pleasant and growth-oriented environment to its employees to encourage them to be highly productive and better professionals. We also continue to develop markets which will provide stability and adequate financial returns,” he concludes.

AMI will be exhibiting at Stand 8B351 and Concourse 701 at The Big 5 in Dubai.
