Elevators show to debut in Dubai

THE Elevators and Access Control (E&AC) show will makes its debut in Dubai, UAE, next year, against a backdrop of an upsurge in the regional construction industry.

The event will be held alongside the region’s only dedicated facility management exhibition, FM Expo, from May 18 to 20, 2015 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).

The event will showcase the latest elevators, escalators and travelators as well as access control systems to the GCC market in addition to displaying advanced technologies and industry advancements.

E&AC 2015 will also feature free certified workshops and live product demonstrations to enable exhibitors to engage more with their target audience.

Jaafar Shubber, senior project manager, E&AC, said: “We deem it highly relevant to launch E&AC next year in response to the high demand for elevators and escalators amidst the growing number of major construction projects in the Middle East.”

According to the latest industry report, 700,000 new elevator units will be installed in the region by 2018.

 

Wetex to focus on sustainability

SUSTAINABILITY will be the main focus of next year’s Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (Wetex) organised by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa).

The 17th edition of Wetex, taking place from April 21 to 23 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC), in Dubai, UAE, will be held under the theme “At the Forefront of Sustainability”.

It will showcase the latest technologies in water, electricity, energy, environment, oil and gas, environment, and green development. International experts from across the world will discuss a wide range of technologies and ideas at the event that will aim to identify the best solutions and practices to tackle environmental challenges. Waste management, green buildings and the latest solutions to reduce carbon dioxide emissions will be also discussed.

 

Saudi Arabia to host HVAC expo

MOSTRA Convegno Expocomfort (MCE), a leading biennial HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning) show, will be held for the first time in Saudi Arabia, next year.

MCE Saudi 2015 taking place in Riyadh from May 4 to 6 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Ricec) follows the 39th edition of MCE Italy, held this year, which was attended by 2,000 exhibitors and 155,000 visitors from 147 countries.

The event, dedicated to residential and industrial installations, air-conditioning and renewable energy, is expected to provide major opportunities in the systems market.
