Emerson Climate Technologies will showcase its energy-efficient compressor modulation technology in air-conditioning applications at the Smart Skyscrapers Summit, being held from May 11 to 12 at Sofitel The Palm Resort and Spa in Dubai, UAE.

Emerson will highlight the importance of compressor modulation and the tremendous impact it can have on the business in terms of energy efficiency. It will also describe the latest developments and explain how each technology works, the main benefits and their applications.

Emerson Climate Technologies is the Gold Sponsor for the 2015 edition of the summit, which is being organised by global conference organiser Expotrade Middle East.

With environmental sustainability and human comfort part of Emerson’s vision, the summit provides the perfect platform for bringing its solutions to the summit audience, according to Emerson Climate Technologies.

Commenting on the event, Matthew Neidlinger, director marketing MEA, Emerson Climate Technologies, says: “Emerson Climate Technologies is dedicated to providing solutions that drive higher energy efficiency, comfort, and reliability. This mission ties well into the theme of the Smart Skyscrapers Summit where the focus is on sustainable, large commercial and residential buildings. Emerson looks forward to the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and generate greater awareness of our technologies and how they deliver value.”

Brad Hariharan, regional director, Expotrade Middle East, says: “We welcome Emerson Climate as Gold Sponsors of the Smart Skyscrapers Summit. This is a logical union, as both are keenly focused on sustainability and energy efficiency in high-rise development. We look forward to a long and meaningful partnership.”

Globally, buildings consume a major percentage of the world’s total energy consumption. Air-conditioning, lighting and cooling are obvious uses which are, naturally, highly energy-intensive. The worldwide move towards sustainability has led to a keen focus on developing environment-friendly technology for both heating and cooling. Reduced energy consumption has become the buzzword everywhere, as has the need for innovative solutions in the field. These have, more often than not, become the key drivers for the energy goals of countries around the world, more so in the UAE, with its commitment towards sustainable development. The summit will focus on energy efficiency particularly in high-rise development.
