Fischer, a specialist in fixings and installation systems, said its key product range proved a huge draw at this year’s edition of Project Qatar which was held last month (May 4 to 7) in Doha, Qatar.

General Manager Earl de Rozario said the company received a good response at the event, where it showcased its special rail fixings, facade systems, installation systems for mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) supports, fire-stopping products, solar fixing systems, and mechanical and chemical anchors.

“We received many enquiries for this entire segment and our focus now will be on reaching out to the participants personally and making sure that Fischer is just a call away to provide technical, sales and service support.”

“Qatar is the global hub of professionals and investments right now. During the event, we interacted with visitors from Europe, US and Asian countries who are playing a key role in shaping the future of many mega projects in Qatar,” Rozario said.

The company said it has executed mega projects in Qatar and will increase its presence in the country’s building material industry by providing high quality products and services to serve the huge demand. “We have a clear idea about the future requirements of the Qatar market, thanks to our highly talented sales and technical staff,” he added.

According to him, the key to success is to provide technical support and solve client concerns: “Our team in Qatar will provided the much needed support which is key in initiating any sales process.”

Adastra, Fischer’s business partner in Qatar, specialises in MEP materials and primarily serves the construction and oil and gas industries. Adastra is manned by Fischer’s sales and technical staff that receive regular training to ensure an efficient service. Rozario said the company has effective logistic arrangements to transport the material over land, air and sea.

The company has a regional office in Dubai, where its central warehouse for the Middle East is also located. Within the Middle East, apart from Dubai and Qatar, Fischer has a strong presence in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain.

Some of Fischer’s key projects in Qatar include the Doha Convention Centre, Qatar Islamic Tower office, Mall of Qatar, Qatar Foundation car-park site, Qatar Rail (Golden Line and Red Line North – ISG), Light Rail Transit (LRT) – QDVC, Abraj Quarters at The Pearl, a school building at Qatar University, Solar Polysilicon Plant, Worker’s Hospital – Industrial Area, Banana Island, Doha Festival City, Qatar Petroleum District, the Sheraton hotel renovation, and Hamad General Hospital.
