The Aurora collection not only provides a sustainable production technique, it also delivers a high-quality product, says Jotun.

Jotun has boosted its diverse powder coatings range with the introduction of the Aurora collection, which offers sustainable and environment-friendly solutions in powder coating technology.

Inspired by the Northern Lights, the collection builds on the brand’s promise for innovative, eco-friendly products, says the leading paint and coatings supplier.

Suitable on both aluminium and steel, the coatings provide an impeccable metallic effect and noticeable consistency in application, hiding any substrate imperfections, whilst also minimising a negative effect on the environment, according to the company.

Using 40 times less water, 10 times less electricity and 20 times less gas, the production process saves time and natural resources whilst keeping a high-performance and consistent finish.

Olaf Conreur, global marketing director at Jotun Powder Coatings, comments: “We have been providing consultants and engineers with high-quality, cost-effective, sustainable and protective powder coating solutions for many years. Our products are known for withstanding extreme levels of ultraviolet (UV) light, various levels of humidity, corrosion and other environmental pollutants to preserve their strength and appearance.”

He says sustainability is very important when developing products, especially in a region which is susceptible to such harsh climates. “Our products are designed to meet the latest industry standards and are always developed with the environment in mind.”

“The new collection is the result of a long journey of research and development and it is important we provide our customers with the latest technology and trends in powder coatings,” says Conreur.

The Aurora Collection is available in 11 stylish colours and sets a new benchmark for high-quality and durable products.

Conreur says it is pioneering concepts such as this that underlines Jotun’s ability to meet the requirements of ambitious projects such as Masdar City in Abu Dhabi, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, both in the UAE; Eiffel Tower in Paris, France; China Opera House in Beijing, China; and Nile City Complex in Cairo, Egypt.

The Jotun group was founded in Norway in 1926 and is now one of the world’s leading paint and coating manufacturers. Having establishing its presence in the Middle East in 1974 with Jotun UAE, it has expanded dramatically throughout the region and says it was the first paint manufacturer to be awarded the ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001 and Ohsas 18001 certifications. The company also has state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Egypt.
