A landmark stadium with a seating capacity of 60,000 will be set up at a cost of Dh3 billion ($816 million) within the Dubai Club premises in Al Aweer, Dubai.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Stadium will boast several key amenities including a training hall, 5,000-capacity car-park, a sports museum and conference halls.

All elements of sustainability were taken into consideration as the stadium will have green, shaded areas that ensure the comfort of visitors.

The stadium, whose design complies with the soccer’s world governing body Fifa’s standards, will have 23,116 upper bleacher seats, 1,642 seats for the VIP suite and another 8,941 VIP seats as well as other 6,688 lower bleacher seats.

On completion, the stadium is set to become the world’s first fully air-conditioned and raised-off-the-ground stadium.
