The Z-60/37FE ... at bauma.

Genie launched four new products while showcasing up to 20 of its latest and most popular models at this year’s bauma in Germany.

Featuring advanced power-source technologies, Genie unveiled a hybrid version of the new electric Genie Z-60/37 boom offering operators two machines in one package for indoor and outdoor applications, while providing lower cost of operation and cleaner performance.

“Driven by high-efficiency AC motors, this new fuel-efficient model offers a working height of 20.16 m combined with the benefits of advanced diesel power, four-wheel drive and the cleaner, quieter efficiency of compact, low-weight electric-powered booms,” says a spokesman for the company, which is part of Terex Corporation.

Meanwhile, the new Genie GTH-3007 telehandler is said to offer fleet owners versatile on-site productivity and cost-efficiency at a market-beating price. Utilising the field proven design of the GTH-2506, this addition to the Genie compact telehandler family combines efficient, full-featured capabilities with the most compact dimensions and lightest weight in its category.

In response to increased demand for higher capacity aerial work platforms, Genie also unveiled the new Z-45/25XC boom lift — a redesigned ‘extra capacity’ version of the brand’s best-selling rough-terrain Genie Z-45/25J RT diesel-powered articulating boom lift.

Genie has also unveiled the new Genie GRC-12, a newly designed version of the Genie Runabout Contractor adapted to suit the needs of the Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia (EMEAR) market.

Meanwhile, Genie now offers more entry points for operator mobility with its new platform baskets. These baskets for Genie boom lifts offer three entry points on an 8-ft basket or two entry points on a 6-ft basket to enhance operators’ mobility.

All entry points are specifically designed to help operators easily get in and out of the basket, with tools and jobsite materials, from pressure washers and painting supplies to light fixtures and window glazings.

Genie has engineered these new baskets with eight lanyard attachment points to give operators the freedom to work anywhere on the platform. These new platforms are manufactured with all-steel materials that cannot break down or become compromised with repeated use. The baskets can be used on any Genie boom that can be equipped with a 6- or 8-ft basket.
