Dubai Sports City (DSC), the world’s first integrated purpose-built sports city, said work on its new residential, commercial and sport facilities was progressing well.

Located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road in Dubai, the 50-million-sq-ft community expects to see a further 5,000 residents move in over the next 12 months, taking the population to 20,000. Once completed, the community will be home to 70,000 people.

A 200,000-sq-ft retail space will soon be a part of the community, with shops opening up along the canal and within the housing developments. In addition to existing schools serving 2,000 students, education facilities for 5,000 more students will be built.
