The Core range ... operator-friendly machines that can handle a tough working environment.

Showcased at a recent Open Day, Powerscreen’s new Core range of machines have been designed for robust use, high performance and easier operation.

Powerscreen, one of the world leaders in the crushing and screening industry, recently launched its Core range of machines at an Open Day at its Hosur facility in India, which also caters to the requirement of the GCC region.

The hugely successful event showcased the Powerscreen Premiertrak 400 Core jaw crusher and the Powerscreen 1000 Maxtrak Core cone crusher, as well as a range of other crushing and screening equipment.

“At the heart of Powerscreen crushing and screening machines are core technologies which have resulted in the launch of a range of machines with a simplified control panel, engine and hydraulics systems, but can still create excellent throughput potential of high quality material,” says a spokesman for Powerscreen.

The Core range has been developed around a market requirement for a simple operator-friendly machine that is robust enough to handle a tough working environment. “Simplified hydraulics and electrics along with a time-proven rugged engine results in the ultimate solution without any compromise in machine performance,” the spokesman says.

The Powerscreen Premiertrak 400 Core has been designed for medium-scale operators in quarrying, demolition, recycling and mining applications. User benefits include track mobility for a quick set-up time, that is typically under 30 minutes, hydraulic crusher setting adjustment for total control of product size and crusher overload protection to prevent damage by uncrushable objects.

The high-performance Powerscreen 1000 Maxtrak Core is a small- to medium-sized cone crusher which has been designed for direct feed applications without pre-screening on clean rock. At its heart is the Automax cone crusher which provides excellent reduction and product cubicity for the production of high-quality aggregate and sub-base material. Basic hydraulics and electrics allow ease of operation, servicing and maintenance.

The Powerscreen factory in Hosur sells into and services the Middle East region. “Powerscreen has a strong track record of selling into the Middle East for many years where our machines are well known and well respected. Production of these machines extends to the Hosur facility where first class equipment and services stems from,” the spokesman says.

Australian Powerscreen distributor Lincom has bought a number of Powerscreen machines from the Hosur facility. Lincom’s CEO Stephen Watterson says: “The quality of machines coming out of India is high and the machines are competitively priced, therefore we will continue to purchase machines through the Indian facility. We would also like to compliment the Indian factory for being proactive in their approach when we provide feedback.”
