All vertical and stiffening reinforced concrete structures in the construction of the Double Tree and Garden Inn by Hilton were formed using Modular universal formwork.

Paschal has provided its popular Modular formwork to help construct the Double Tree and Garden Inn by Hilton in Riyadh, boosting its growing portfolio of projects in Saudi Arabia.

Paschal-Werk G Maier of Germany has added the Double Tree and Garden Inn by Hilton in Riyadh to its portfolio of projects in Saudi Arabia while also expanding the list of Saudi contractors that are benefiting from its modular formwork systems.

Among its latest customers in the region is Mobco Civil Construction Company, which is said to be pleased with its decision to use the Modular formwork system.

Mobco Civil Construction Company is using its newly purchased Modular formwork for the construction of all the vertical and stiffening reinforced concrete structures in the new Double Tree and Garden Inn by Hilton building project in the Saudi capital.

The hotel project, covering an area of approximately 2,500 sq m with a total floor area of 40,000 sq m, comprises a precast concrete skeleton construction. It features 260 hotel rooms and 110 serviced apartments complemented by business facilities such as multi-purpose halls, event halls, conference centre and four meeting rooms. A business centre, swimming pool and fitness studio as well as restaurants, lobby and lounge complete the range of hotel services.

“Mobco Civil Construction Company used 1,000 sq m of Modular universal formwork for building the vertical and stiffening building construction parts in accordance with the formwork plan. The construction work is scheduled for completion by 2018,” says a spokesman for Paschal.

All formwork planning for the hotel was carried out using the Paschal-Plan light PPL 10.0 software.

Mobco is a major new customer of Paschal and receives substantial support from the formwork manufacturer’s Scientific and Technical Office (TSO) in Dammam.

“Ever since opening our office in 2011 and subsequently providing consulting and support services to prestigious customers through our experienced construction engineers, the demand for Paschal’s formwork expertise has grown steadily,” says the spokesman.

“Thanks to our many successful reference projects in the Middle East and the highly professional consulting services and support by the TSO, Paschal-Werk G Maier succeeded in winning Mobco as a new customer. Mobco is completely happy with their decision to use the Modular universal formwork system with panels of different heights,” he adds.

The Modular universal, designed as hand-set and large-size formwork, is a very popular system in the Middle East. The modular assembly system ensures balanced, practical sorting of elements for systematic formwork – even for complicated floor plans and design shapes, according to the spokesman. The sturdy flat steel frame guarantees robustness and durability with low element weight.

All of the formwork planning for the new construction of the Double Tree and Garden Inn by Hilton was carried out by the TSO with the Paschal-Plan light PPL 10.0 planning software, enabling the vertical reinforced concrete components to be formed and concreted efficiently using just 1,000 sq m of Modular.

The PPL 10.0 formwork software supports the construction workflow of the entire concrete formwork throughout the construction phase and even manages materials with the “Warehouse” module.
